WAKA TECH, INC. ("WAKA TECH", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Services.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and operational data processed through Waka Forward against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Technical safeguards. We use encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for application, registration, and API traffic. Data at rest on our cloud infrastructure uses provider-managed encryption (for example, encrypted database and storage volumes on AWS). Authentication credentials are handled using modern hashing practices; passwords are not stored in plain text. Where configured, session tokens use httpOnly cookies to reduce exposure to client-side scripts.

Access control and tenant isolation. Waka Forward is a multi-tenant platform. Each customer organization operates in a licensed company tenant. Operational data is scoped to that tenant unless a commercial relationship, invitation, or explicit share record authorizes counterparty visibility. Access is governed by your licensed freight forwarder tenant, company branches, role permissions, and active operational modules. Authorization is enforced server-side on APIs and, where applicable, through database row-level security policies.

Audit and accountability. We maintain audit events for sensitive operational actions such as invitations, relationship changes, awards, milestone updates, and visibility changes. PO, RFQ, and booking histories support review across parties where your subscription and role permit.

Organizational measures. We apply least-privilege access to production systems, separate marketing and application environments, and align patching and monitoring with cloud shared-responsibility models. Security design is informed by recognized frameworks (including SOC 2 trust principles and GDPR-oriented privacy practices). Certification status varies by control area—contact us for diligence questionnaires.

AI and document processing. Intelligent document extraction and workflow assistance process files within your tenant context. Extracted fields are intended for human review before being committed to operational records. AI-assisted operational answers are grounded in your tenant workflow data—not used to sell or publish your shipment data.

Third-party systems. Integrations with external accounting, ERP, carrier, or other systems use authenticated API and webhook patterns scoped to your tenant. Those external systems are distinct from service partners who sign in to Waka directly.

Incident reporting. If you believe there has been unauthorized access to your account or a security incident affecting Waka Forward, contact security@wakatech.com. We investigate and respond in line with our incident process.

International Data Transfers
